Smith had an outstanding game against the Cincinnati Bengals on Thanksgiving night which included the following accomplishments: * Smith totaled 200 yards (122 kickoff return, 55 rushing, 23 receiving), including an 89-yard kickoff return-touchdown and a 53-yard rushing touchdown in the Jets’ 26-10 win against Cincinnati. * Smith became only the fourth player in NFL history to score on a rushing play of 50+ yards and on a kickoff return in the same game. * Smith’s 89-yard KR-TD was the second-longest kickoff return of his career (106 yards, at Indianapolis on December 27, 2009). * Through Week 12, Smith leads the NFL with a 29.2 kick return average. 2) 75 and counting- Following the game against the Bengals, Jets center Nick Mangold and left tackle D’Brickashaw Ferguson became the only two players who entered the league together to start their team’s first 75 regular-season games on the same offensive line since 1970. 3) Jets face toughest remaining schedule- According to the NFL the New York Jets face the toughest remaining schedule as compared to the remainder of the contending teams. Here is the strength of schedule for the contending teams. Opp team’s record NYJ- 33-22 .600 NE- 32-23 .582 Miami- 26-29 .473 Balt- 27-28 .493 Pitt- 24-31 .436 Jax- 26-29 .473 Indy- 24-31 .436 KC- 24-31 .436 SD- 21-34 .382 4) Road warriors- The Jets have won 8 consecutive regular season road games, the longest streak in franchise history. These two little tidbits are mighty impressive. I would be awesome if Brad took another to the house against the Patsies...I feel like the Jets never lose when they have a return for the a TD.
