RexSnacks
The way I see it the Pats dont score in the 1st, but, via the camcorders that are planted around the stadium (just kidding) score 10 in the 2nd, and 7 in the 3rd, and 13 in the 4th for a total of 30. The Pats D can hold the Jets to under 30. The Jets couldnt score 30 against some of the worst defenses in the league just a few weeks back. Leonard's replacement will not only be exposed in the 4th, he will be exposed for the rest of the season by esp. the Steelers, Bears, and Bills. Bad bad vibe for monday night. I'll say this however, if we win this monday night we go on to a 13-3 record and get that sought after bye. If we lose, we might go 11-5 and crawl into the playoffs on the road (which sux since we wont ground n pound like last year) I still remember 1986. SoFlaJets
does anyone else suspect this is the same guy who always posts the apocalyptic Jets threads-you know the guy who is so smart that we don't know that he's actually a Fins fan even though he has Jets in his screen name? RexSnacks
Joe Walton can't hurt you anymore. That's true and thank God for that! (playing "not to lose" in a playoff hunt) But, at the same time it was the key injuries on defense that made us go 0-5 after starting 10-1 in '86. Obviously, 90% on this board are too young to remember, that's why theyre calling die hards like me "Fish" fans. Clueless ********.

This feels like a different Jets team than any previous I've witnessed. Except for those of us with deep scars, the stench of SOJ has dissipated. Barring a slew of key injuries, I don't see this team folding down the stretch. By no means will it be easy, but I expect our team to play their hearts out. bobbyjet69
nothing like 86, sorry. That team was decimated by injuries! That's what made em go 0-5! i see us losing 2 games in the up coming weeks ending 12-4. what sucks is THAT may not be good enough to win the division! DMaynard
F the Patriots. The Jets are a better team. Period. The only thing that worries me are the refs. The Pats are still the darlings of the NFL and the refs do everything they can to help them. Monday night? Pats at home? Biggest game of the year? Forget about it. The refs are hyperventilating. Watch the Jet pass rushers getting tackled by the Pats o-linemen with nary a holding penalty called. And when Brady can't complete a pass with eight seconds to throw, there is always the invisible pass interference call against the Jets. A lot to overcome but the jets will do it. I also remember 86, after going 10-1, that monday night game against Miami was a joke we lost 45-3...the problem was our defense and offense was riddled with injuries.....and if you remember leading up to that monday night game...we destroyed teams. The difference with this team is we are healthy and have better coaching. We win....

Senile since 1977. That dickhead did pick them to lose every week following 10-1 and he was right. He is still alive BTW. Not quite. He started picked them to lose every game for the rest of the season around week 8 or so. He just kept doing it while they were winning.

The Pats, as of now, have the worst defense in the NFL. Yes, their defense is worse than the Redskins' defense. All those "worst defenses" you mentioned are ranked better than the Pats. I remember Mcguire, he outright hated the Jets. I remember a Monday night Game that year when the Jets played the Broncos..remember Elway? What is messed up is we would have been the ones to play Denver that year in the Championship game if it werent for the 3rd and 25 personal foul call on Gas against Kosar...I thought Kosar was going to be cut in half....The Jets absolutely pounded Elway and the Broncos that night..I am not worried about tonight. Watch the defense step up tonight against Brady....
