Falcon63
Yeah, the doctors took out all the stitches in my knee after my ACL reconstructive surgery. I noticed one was still there, and I thought they just missed it.....so I took it out....did I make a boo-boo?

Maxman
Falcon you did the man thing. You should be proud. Very important that you realize early on that anything a Doctor said is merely a suggestion. Whenever you can perform self-surgery that is always the best option. One time I had three stitches from opening a can of chef-boy-r-dee. I let the Doctor stitch me. But I took them out and saved a $20 co-pay. Larz
unless you took it out with a rusty knife, you should be fine. any signs of redness or a greyish fluid, get a can of kerosense and burn out the infection

JerryK
No worries dude. One stitch is left in to give remaining white cells something to work on. Rarely, removing it early can cause them to attack the chromosomes. Symptomes of Chromosomal rebound syndrome are: -baldness -impotentce -growing breasts -And in rare instances, people discover they're gay. It's rare though. You're cool. Got a cut above my eye...skin glued it back together and put a steri strip over it. Hospitals take forever and cost more too.
