Bergen Jet
Losing tomorrow doesn’t mean we lose the division. Yes we will beat them tomorrow and take a commanding lead on the division and home field race BUT as big as this game is to us tomorrow’s game is bigger for the Pats. We lose and we just need to win 1 more game than the Pats do the rest of the way to win the division. Win and take total control which is what will happen… but proclaiming the PATS the winner of the division if they win tomorrow is ludicrous. As is the notion that our season is somehow doomed if we lose tomorrow…
Irish Jet
We're winning the Superbowl regardless of what happens tomorrow.

T0mShane
Huge barometer game, IMO. Jets are 9-2, but 1-2 vs. teams with winning records, I believe. They have to answer some questions tomorrow before the majority of Jets fans really start believing they're legitimate contenders. It's a weird year in the NFL, where there are a handful of garbage teams, zero great teams, and everyone else is playing varying degrees of "Good" football. If they beat the Pats convincingly, the Jets will be considered the best team in the league. But if they should happen to get rocked, they get filed under "Pretender," for now anyway. stoicsentry
How's that? We lose this game then gain 1, we're tied again. How do you know we would have the tiebreaker then????

We regain the tie breaking advantage pending on who they would lose to. We still would have a legit shot of winning the division. They would have to win 2 more games than us the rest of the way to win the division if we win it.

shawn306
Not that it is going to matter once the Jets win tonight. TO BREAK A TIE WITHIN A DIVISION If, at the end of the regular season, two or more clubs in the same division finish with identical won-lost-tied percentages, the following steps will be taken until a champion is determined. Two Clubs Head-to-head (best won-lost-tied percentage in games between the clubs). Best won-lost-tied percentage in games played within the division. Best won-lost-tied percentage in common games. Best won-lost-tied percentage in games played within the conference. Strength of victory. Strength of schedule. Best combined ranking among conference teams in points scored and points allowed. Best combined ranking among all teams in points scored and points allowed. Best net points in common games. Best net points in all games. Best net touchdowns in all games. Coin toss

Is this for real. Crazy. What if it actually came down to a coin toss. That would be some ****ed up sh*t. I'm surprised "common games" is over "conference games". I mean, you play essentially the same exact schedule outside 2 games so you would think you'd take conference over common...but I guess its pretty much the same thing. And I'm surprised strength of victory is ahead of strength of schedule.

Only way to do that is by winning in Foxboro tonight.
