sirlancemehlot
So, we cut Danny Woodhead and kept McKnight. We don't use McKnight. We cut Feely and hired Folk. Wow. Folk is the kicker who got cut last year for doing exactly what he's doing this year. We draft still another CB when our biggest hole is pass-rusher. That CB can't get on the field. And McKnight is being looked at to play DB. We hire Jason Taylor. Which is epic fail on so many levels--particularly considering he has a direct link to the Folk aquisition. We draft a replacement for alan faneca. He's so bad he doesn't even dress. That's first and second round draft pick down. McKnight costs two draft picks. He rarely dresses. The bright spot--John connor--is unnecessary to this team, and plays backup fullback. Who carries a backup fullback? The good news? We have a dominant running back who took over the playoffs last year. He's healthy, running well, and built for December. The bad news. He plays less than 50% of the offensive snaps. Dwight Lowery is trained to play safety and has embraced the idea of playing the position. OIf course, he can't unseat Brodney Poole, Eric Smith, or James Ihedigbo. Can he be worse than any of these? We have a huge weapon in Brad Smith--a guy who can play QB, RB, WR, KR, PR, and run the option. The bad news? We put him behind center and run only two plays. And let him throw it once all year. Man I could go on. And on. But This crap is starting to depress me.

bitonti
you are talking about pawns and bishops the Jets biggest problem right now is that Mark Sanchez isn't Tom Brady.

Are we not allowed to talk about pawns and bishops? Seems to me the whole team lost. The offense, defense and special teams.

The offense, defense and special teams. we can talk about whatever... my point is 1 team had a QB that executed and the other team didn't. And that led to a 42 point loss. Honestly I don't know if there's a D in the league that stops Tom Brady last night. It was just one of those situations. Cry about it for 24 hours then move on. It wasn't their night. Klecko73isGod
I got news for the people who think that Joe McKnight is the reason Woodhead is not a Jet. If Joe McKnight was not a Jet, that would not mean that Woodhead would be. If Joe McKnight was not a Jet, that would mean Leon Washington was still a Jet. If Leon Washington was still a Jet, Danny Woodhead would not be. No team in the NFL, Pats included, cut a rookie with Joe McKnight's talent for Danny Woodhead. Nobody. One game and now everything about the team is ****ed? Come'on everyone end their mother new this was coming, maybe not in that fashion but questioning the entire team now because of a loss is a bit of an overreaction. Danny Woodhead would be doodoo on this team just like everyone else in this offense.

Sometimes bit...I absolutely love the way you think. Pawns and bishops...that's just awesome....absolutely nails it. These were merely the most minor of minor issues up until the Patriots KNOCKED US DOWN IN THE POWER RANKINGS!!! DAMMIT!
RutgersJetFan
Personnel problems? We had Mike DeVito and Bart Scott covering Danny Woodhead. Our best player being used in only one regard. 53 yard field goal attempts in extreme conditions when the kicker couldn't hit from outside 45 during pregame. Retarded challenge flags being thrown on low percentage overturns. Those are not personnel problems.

visajets
This team has some serious depth issues. Harris went down and we had Mauga in there. Our defensive backfield is a mess rigt now with the exception of Revis and Cro.
hoping4ASuperBowl
At least we have a good punter. Wait... never mind. yeah, wtf was that all about, 2 horrible punts? I mean weatherford has been solid all year but he had two giant stinker punts last night. but then again, everything that could go wrong last night did. Guest Jpf4671
The bigger issue than Woodhead is they wound up with mcourty and we wound up with Wilson, we were ready to grab him but of course belecheck beat us to it
sirlancemehlot
The OP was not about this game. It was about this team. Its supposed to be built to win now. This is not a contender as it stands.
