SenorGato
Jeebus Christe what a monster this guy is. I didn't have fun watching last night's game, and I didn't watch much, but everytime I turned it on Wilfork was the first guy I saw. Guy bent each guy on the OL over last night and raped them. We need one of these on our DL.
visajets
We need an every down pass rusher. JT not the answer.
HessStation
Pace, Thomas, Taylor, what does it matter. Btw this thread sucks gato. We all know Wilfork's a beast. They're not getting a NT next year.

You're allowed to get a pass rush from other positions that aren't designated as the position where pass rush is "supposed" to come from.
HessStation
I speak the truth. Team needs an edge rusher from the olb position.

Well yeah...it also needs a DL guy who can dominate the LOS without blowing out a knee. We're alot closer to good pass rusher in his prime years (Pace) than good DL guy in his prime years... Jets Voice of Reason
This really shouldn't be much of a surprise. While good drafting has gotten our team where it is, for years we've ignored replenishing the D-line with high quality talent (outside of Gholston who we drafted as a 3-4OLB) as well as drafting and developing a safety. Yeah, I get that we can develop solid, disciplined players on the cheap who can play the run, but we lack mismatches in the pass rush.
GangisGreen
Not denying that Wilfolk is not amazing, but I also think mangold has not been playing lights out this year.

How much does this have to do with a first time starter in Slauson next to him

Also, people forget how much Rex was expecting from Pitoutua (sp?) this season. IMO DT is the #1 priority in this years draft. You get a guy like Wilfork in here and all of our pass rushers look that much better.
