This team has NO depth.

Give me a break. You can't have Pro Bowl talent across the board and for your backups too. This isn't Madden.

At some point the goddamn coaches have to coach. That is the difference in this league. I wish we had BB, Sanchez would be in MVP talks and LT would be over 1k by now.

Im not saying that. Look at our bench and tell me you feel ok about it. Stick the Madden comment up your a$$. Im talking real football and talent.

Player positions wasted in all the wrong places. We could use another RB and some DB and DE depth. When I saw Muaga lined up at LB when David Harris went out I knew this couldnt be good.

Hard to have depth with high priced players in the lineup.

Sanchez

Ferguson

Mangold

Moore

Woody

Holmes

Edwards

Cotchery

LT

ALL those players are high priced on offense.

Look at other team's benches and tell me you feel ok about them.

Defensively speaking lets look no further than the defensive line starters and backups on the NYGIANTS. We wasted $ on the likes of a JT. At RB we have LT and SG then what? Joe McKnight havent seen enough of him to feel good just yet. Why do we carry 4 TEs? Come on man!

So if we cut Jeff Cumberland, who is making minimum salary, you think instead we'd have a nfl starter quality player on the bench?

Woodhead, if he stuck here, may not have even dressed most games... Woodhead is just proving that anyone with a reasonable amount of talent can play the position he's being asked to play in NE.

Maybe a RB who can spell SG and LT or a LB or DE that could rush the passer. Who said anything about Woodhead?

Look at New Englands NO NAME DEFENSE they laid a hurting on our high powered offense. Those guys arent all All-Pros but they come to play. Instead we cater to the likes of JT,CP and VG. What happened to our #1 DEFENSE?

We have used way too many draft picks the past few years trying to build an elite offense, and then we put a dork at the helm and squandered all of the talent we've accumulated on that side of the ball.

Meanwhile, aside from a couple guys - this defense is mired with former "Mangini guys" and we all know what that means, not necessarily talented but hard working enough to occupy a roster spot. Belli makes up for lack of talent with impeccable scheming. Rex has never had to do that, he has always had a lot of talent. I think he usually gets more out of this group than most people would, but last night he did not.

What has Bart Scott done for this defense? I would have rather have had Ray Lewis and what he brings to the field every week even if it was only for 2-3 years. This team needed a Ray Lewis last night. Everyone laid down and played dead.

Agreed.

Ray Lewis should have without question been the ILB we went after in that situation. There were a handful of "lifeless" performances last year, that were similar to last night... there is NO WAY this team would get away with that with Ray Lewis in the locker room. No way.

Are you serious?

Scott was a bargain compared to what we would have had to pay Lewis. If you want depth you don't sign Ray Lewis.

Plus the difference between the two as players is negligible at this point. I don't give a **** what ESPN says. I'll take the younger guy any day of the week.

Bart Scott a bargain yes indeed and you get what you pay for. If the choice is Scott or Lewis id take Lewis any day of the week.

This. People want to complain about lack of depth and in the same breath complain that we didn't sign the 35 year old guy who would have cost like 10 mill a year. Almost as silly as watching last nights game and deciding that the problem is we don't have enough runningbacks.

Ok then what was the problem why we couldnt score more than 3 points and gave up 45? I know it was the kickers fault.

Look at New England's offense. Outside of Brady and Welker, these players are no names. What happened to our high powered offense thats 4th in the league in scoring. It's kinda hard to win a game with only 3 points through 4 quarters.

Shonn Greene- 13 carries 64 yards 4.9 average

LT- 10 carries 47 yards 4.7 average

I'll even toss in McKnight for good measure

3 carries 19 yards 6.3 average

The problem was pretty much everything but the running game. Playcalling, pass rush, QB play, game management, dropped passes, awful special teams, penalties, poor tackling etc..

A different third string runningback doesn't change the fact that the QB played scared and the defense couldn't get off the field.

True, but I see no point having him linger on the bench. I'd rather see what he can do.

This... I'd rather see Sanchez stay under center and hand off to McKnight for a "change of pace" than Sanchez split out wide, with Brad Smith under center disrupting a drive.

If we want to use the wildcat package, then use it for a whole series, pound the sh*t out of the ball 3 times, get a first down and then our real QB play... not one play smattered here and there disrupting things. The wildcat has done more to disrupt our own offense than it has to disrupt any D we've played not from Cincy.

Every team in the NFL has depth problems at some position or another our glaring depth problem is at safety. Even our starters suck and the entire league knows it and attacks it. Oline were fine, D line were ok, TE fine, LB were fine, RB were ok, WR were Fine, CB Fine..... Our problem both starting and depth wise is saftey and safety alone, so I would not say we have a depth problem.

Sure we could use a passrusher but thats not a depth problem. Our team overall does not have a depth problem.

So now you want to add more fumbles to the mix and mess that is our current offense ?

So he fumbled in Preseason, has Shonn Greene not fumbled this season? every RB funbles. I'd rather see if he can hack it in the NFL in a real game than have him wasting away on the bench. I also liked the burst I saw from him last night. There is no harm in trying.

I agree a burst of speed out of the back field could be refreshing like a down field pass. This offense is too dam predictable week after week.

Ya never know DLJ maybe will unleash him in the playoffs like we did SG last year . :P

Jets got nearly all those yards after they were down by 21. Pats did give up rush yards in the 2nd half (98 in the 2nd half vs 56 in the 1st half). Let em' run all night. No way to come back that way.
