I think last night is evidence that things like that don't happen. If you just barely beat bad teams, you usually don't just barely beat good ones.

I agree, Buffalo was the only game where they truly kicked a$$, but we are all waiting for the week when it all comes together because the talent is there. After Monday night, all of a sudden Rex went from a god to an idiot. If the Jets pound the Fins next week we may all get trampled with the stampede back to the bandwagon.

You give anyone in any job extra time to get plan, prepare and get ready for a big job or presentation. Each time you do this this employee shats the bed-doesn't hit the keynote points, failes to explain potential problems and his proposed solutions, ends with a collapse.

There is a serious problem here.

Now, I like Rex Ryan. He has accomplished things here like changing the culture and winning games even in tough spots. Until Monday this team has never quit on him in any game. Compared to the idiocy of Herman Edwards and the straight jacket process of Eric Mangini, he's already better than either ever will be. But in the 3 most challenging games against likely playoff teams with that extra time he has totally screwed the pooch. Now you could blame it on Brian Schottenheimer since they failed to score even 1 TD in any of these games. But like his father seems Rex Ryan seems to forget that head coach means you have to straigthen out the whole team, not just the defense.

This next 4 games is going to tell us a lot about this team and this coach.

Thats what added extra sting to this to me actually. not only did he come out and look like a fat kid asking the hot girl to dance at a high school dmixer.. with the challenge, going for it and then silly field goal attempt, pretty much giving the game away in the first 5 minutes.

His defense looked like a bunch of crabs scurrying for holes when a wave comes. Lost and absolutely powerless. I hope that the loss of Leonard may have been they key their and this next 6 days gives him time to adjust. 100% agreed that this Miami game will be very telling.
