About 10 minutes later one of my friends had the craziest trip I've ever seen...note that as a group none of us have dropped acid...but the trip included an evil laugh and him running out of the house in some kind of fear. In hindsight, it would have made a great Youtube video, except not.

To the contrary of popular belief mushroom trips are sometimes a lot harder to take than acid. The good thing about acid is there is really no come down the whole trip, where as mushrooms, it's all waves...which is really what makes it tricky, imo. This salvia sounds quite tricky as well, er, it seems pending the circumstances and ah whatnot. Oh yeah it should also be noted visuals can be just as excessive and or easily triggered on shrooms as acid. Another common misconception. In fact the only time the woods openned up into fairytale colors and little trolls was on shrooms, not acid. It unforunately only lasted maybe 15-20 seconds but I can still remember it vividly.

Mushrooms really wasn't that bad...I did it once or twice a year for a 3 year run and the memories are fond ones...Not a terrible way to pass a summer day in the woods somewhere...always ended mellow.

1st time I did acid I went to see Rush in concert I guess it was 1979 -- Bad move total paranoia the whole show -- have had shrooms many times and mescaline as well had lots of laughs and good times with that sh*t. I cant believe it has been 22 years since I quit doing it.

Not exactly proud or ashamed to say I've probably done shrooms around 12-15 times and acid maybe 10-12. This all done from age 18-25. I've done all the harder stuff too and whatnot but I have to say some of my fondest memories were always on the psychdelics, not the hardcore crap. Although I've also had some of my worst times on teh psychedelics. But really only 1 or 2 bad trips. Only one was REALLY bad. (funny thing is any of the bad moments were always on shrooms, not acid).

Thing is I can look back and laugh on those times where as if I think about the times I was on ectasy or like K I feel, gross, slimy and unclean. It's like an automatic shiver effect. Sorry, just some random thoughts.

Interesting. The reason I stopped doing acid and moved to shrooms is because acid made you feel like sh*t for days and the trip last like 8 hours where you could control the trip a little more on shrooms. More intense but shorter with no side affects.

I'm like you, I got all my experimentation out early. I did almost everything possible before the age of 21...never anything crazy hard like heroin or crack...but there isnt much else I havent put in my body. Not proud of it either, but glad I got it out of my system early.

Salvia is too short to have waves...its an intense trip really quick and then its completely gone. Its really more of a body buzz than visual trip.

I completely agree (although I had some great times with ectacy). Some of the best time in HS were tripping on shrooms. The one thing about it is, atleast in my experience, you had to be trippin with other people also trippin. We generally wouldnt invite people over unless we knew they would trip. Smoking a blunt the next day and getting a lesser trip was also pretty fun.

I am actually surprised about how honest people are being about their drug use in this thread. I never did a single drug, never had the desire. I don't judge others, really doesn't matter to me. Miley did drugs big deal. Just don't do it in front of me and I really don't care.

But I see a lot of people making drugs out to be this glamorous thing. If you ever saw anyone die as a result of drugs you would think differently. Kids are young, kids experiment, etc. I get all that. But I have seen enough people just give their life away and that was enough to kill any urge or temptation for me....

Yep goes to show how much of it is really all in the mind. But yeah, from my youth, the only thing I didn't try was basically heroin. With that said, disclaimer and whatnot Drugs are NOT for everyone to try, I have a good friend who had to go through rehab. They are very dangerous. mmmk.
