Bugg
If you cut him, the Pats will sign him and he will be Super Bowl MVP and have Masshole songs written about him. Plus because he's white he will outstrip Woodhead jersey sales.
ThisYearsModel
The fact that some of you are defending this guy is a joke. If this was any other teams coach you would be flipping out about what scum he was, this is why people sh*t on the Jets organization and the fans. +1. This clown is an embarrassment and should be fired. It was a totally low-class move. He does tackle better than Eric Smith though.

Maxman
By now everyone has probably seen or heard about NY Jets strength and conditioning coach Sal Alosi tripping Miami cornerback Nolan Carroll. Here is the video and more information on the trip if you haven't seen it already. Should the Jets fire Sal Alosi?

RutgersJetFan
I voted on a conditional no. I think it depends on the guy's track record in the organization, whether or not this was an isolated incident...etc. At the very least he should be suspended and fined. I do think everyone messes up now and then, especially in the heat of the moment, and he also issued an immediate apology and took full accountability, which counts for something. JoeWillie
Yes. Just a disgrace. There's a fine line between swagger and thuggery and the Jets under Rex have crossed that line. Enough already. Just play football.

Really poor reflection on the organization, and the HC unfortunately.
jason423
I think so. Its makes the organization look awful and there really is no reason to do something like that. you have a guy running full speed and he is paying no attention to a coach on the sideline looking to trip him. Those are the kind of things that cause injury because you are totally unprepared. Now I dont think he intentionally was looking to hurt him, but that type of activity should not be tolerated. CobraVerde
I would like to suspend and fine him considering the holidays but seriously hes gotta get fired otherwise the team itself looks worse than they already do. And honestly he cant be that good of a strength and conditioning coach if the Oline is getting manhandled the DLine registers multiple sacks finally in Week 14 and the running backs fall on the first hit. It probably ends at a suspension if we win, but the prefab media meme is that the all-talk no-walk Jets have taken back-to-back beatings from the all-business Belichick-Parcells teams, and the tripping thing just makes us look more trifling than ever. He's probably gone just to avoid the added bad press.
The Banned
I actually enjoy Rex Ryan quite a bit but it seems like the guy has zero leadership skills. This kind of thing has no place in football but its a direct result of the culture he's created over there. The inmates are running the asylum. We saw it early in the season with the sexual herassment BS. We saw it on Hard Knocks. Rex isn't doing himself any favors. If he doesn't fix this, his stay as a HC in this league will be a short one. This guy should absolutely be fired. He pretty much assaulted an opposing player. You could make a case that criminal charges should be filed.... Seriously! What if I was a fan who landed a job working security or perhaps a photographer with a media credential that allowed me access to the field. If I did what that meat head did, losing my job wouldn't even be a question. Of course I'd lose my job. The only question would be what sentence would the judge give me. Community service? Fines? Jail time? All of the above?
gsnts725
no doubt he should be fired, but I doubt Rex will cuz he hasnt shown any backbone when it comes to accountability

Sharrow
I'm a little torn on this. I don't really like the double standard here; if its a player that does this I doubt anyone is calling for his job unless he's a scrub. But it does make the whole organization look bad. Fine and suspension should be automatic though imo.

The first thing I here this morning when I enter the office, isnt the typical jab at the Jets sucktitude instead..."is that what they teach people up there in New York". referring to the leg thingy.
