BroadwayJoe12
Well, he couldn't possibly hurt our pass rush. Let's see if he actually sees the field unlike last time he was on the active roster.
visajets
I actually thought this kid was going to amount something coming out of college. Lets hope the NYJETS can motivate and bring out the best in this kid. We need a feel good story and a find of a diamond in the rough once in awhile. Gilbert won't be active. Rex said the reason they elevated Gilbert is because some other team wanted to sign him off of the Jets practice squad. The 1 way to prevent that is to put him on the team's roster.

Well at least it shows they think something of him and aren't gonna let him go like woodhead. Different scenario than the woodhead one, but maybe Rex has learned a lesson here. redman81
How funny would it be if in his first game active he accomplishes what VG couldn't in almost 3 years in his first play.

Interesting. means they like his potential a lot, he's just not ready yet. That would be HUGE for this team and for Tanny's cap if Gilbert can become what most thought on draftday.
