ZachEY
From your picture I assume you have a son - do you teach him values - right vs wrong - or are you so lax or afraid to be 'uncool'and want to maintain that image of 'it's an anything goes society' and whatever his behaviors are now and then as an adult it is ok with me. What's wrong with us that we cannot criticise certain behaviors of adults. I guarantee you this - the Ryans will never do this again. If it's ok and they did 'nothing wrong' why not continue this behavior and promote it as ok - The Jet Way - every marriage should have their husband watch while his wife gets drilled. I'm not afraid to say that this behavior should be discouraged. I am not perfect nor is my marriage, but we need standards and values in society. I'm sorry if this offends you or if think I'm some whiter than white moral police even though you don't have a clue about my race. Sounds to me that your trying to impose YOUR morals and values on others. The Ryan's did nothing illegal and they did nothing to harm anyone else. You've deemed their behavior immoral. That is on you, not the Ryan's or anyone else. The 'criticism' you want to offer is based on what makes you personally uncomfortable, that is neither the Ryan's nor anyone's problem, just yours. Morality police never like to examine that angle though, do they?
Cyberjet
The Ryans and who else? On what levels? How many exactly? A gross error in judgement? And behavior? The only thing they did wrong -IMHO- is to have Michelle's face visible on the swinger profile pics. That's it. Outside of that, everything else is just good clean fun for partners in a marriage. judg·ment [juhj-muhnt] –noun 1. an act or instance of judging. 2. the ability to judge, make a decision, or form an opinion objectively, authoritatively, and wisely, esp. in matters affecting action; good sense; discretion: a man of sound judgment. ZachEY
You guys are projecting your paranoia about morals onto me. If you go back to my comments I never once used the word immoral except to say that initially there may be an ethical or moral dillemma in this situation - I neither wish or have said that I wish to impose my morals on the Ryans. You guys have been throwing around the word morals. Nice try... After digesting this fiasco, it's hard what to think. Ultimately, it will be Mr. Johnson's decision to decide the fate of Rex Ryan and the direction of the Jets franchise. Whatever decision he makes will be the right decision because it's his team. I am presently into a 'second chance' mentality, but in the end Mr Johnson has to determine what is best for his franchise longterm. You know that Rex Ryan is a very likeable and affable guy - it's an unfortunate situation. In my opinion, if this occurred while Ryan was head coach of the Jets he would be forced to resign. This episode opens alot of ethical and moral issues. To me the Ryans have only themselves to blame. Whether it be the foot fetish video or the potential nude photos and explicit soliciting of extramarital sex. Once you commit these fantasies and desires beyond the bedroom, it's open season. Particularly when you're dealing with cyberspace degenerates. To me once you commit these desires to include strangers in your marriage or sexual fantasies you cross a line. The problem with modern society is that the portal hole for opportunity has never been greater or easier than ever before. In earlier times it would be possible to fulfill such urges and fantasies but much more difficult to implement - and perceptually maybe more prone to second thoughts and hesitation to act out these fantasies - difficult access and potential perceived social scrutiny may lead to decreased "abberrant" behavior. Today with a flick of the switch there is opportunity. I realize many of you say so what - it's between them and no one else should give a f***. Maybe that is correct, but social norms and even criticism is important to mold values and behaviors - without them I think humans can degenerate fairly rapidly. Rex Ryan was embarrassed for a reason - he knows there was something wrong with what they did particularly as a married couple (with children) on many different levels. Maybe their marriage will grow and if those desires to see his wife get drilled by someone else (if true) can be reassessed and lead to some internal soul searching and a better more intimate marriage then so be it. I hope the Jets keep Ryan and hope everyone is better for it. If it's any consolation, that hurt me more than it hurt you.

Cyberjet
So you agree with me, then? Because I'm failing to see your list of people harmed, or how this constitutes a gross error in behavior. I get the poor judgement, but only because they set themselves up to have to deal with being judged by self important moralists, not because they actually didn't anything wrong. I do think there is a level of semantics here with us. I am not a self important moralist yet you yourself said that your teenagers are moral ones. Thus you have made a judgemnent that their behaviors are good and presumed moral. Therefore you must look (albeit quietly and secretly) at others' behaviors as potentially bad or immoral based on your own standards. To have moral teenagers by your definition you must have within yourself defined what is moral and presumably immoral in order for you to call your children moral teenagers. I never once said the Ryans behavior was immoral. It was stupid, it was poor judgement and it has effected many - his wife, him, probably his children, and the image of the franchise. Also, I think somebody else said it could effect his brother from getting a HC job. Granted all this may be unfair, but it is reality.

RutgersJetFan
I think this issue has gone beyond random comments from strangers on the internet. Not really. The proposition that this incident has any bearing on Rob's job prospects, according to you, is defined realistic simply because it was said, pretty much keeps the conversation on that level. However I do think the "I'm not imposing my morals, but this is a moral issue" stance you've taken is right up there with some of BP and Shane's greatest hits though. So by all means, keep posting. Kleckineau
I dont think any reasonable person would think Rex should lose his job for this. WTF Paul Hornung survived the ultimate NFL sin didnt he? Getting your freak on (not in public) is not illegal. BP
If you recall what I've said, I'm merely comparing this to my life and how I would handle it. I'm not sure how Rex's kids would, but my point is that its not too crazy of a thought to think this might not effect them as much as you may think. Every house hold is different. And I dont think a story about Rex Ryan's son in a fight is a big deal even if someone capitalized on it. I think it is for you because you have a strange negative view on everything Rex Ryan, so you'd spin it to how he's a terrible father because he's a fat stupid loud mouth because his kid fought. You're not following again. in your obsession to protect everything Rex, you did not see that I dont find anything wrong with this. except that he or his wife were dumb for posting it on the internet. and I meant Rex being sued for his sons actions. not him getting fired for it. where do you come up with this sh*t from? Boozer76
The funny thing is the media, and honestly I even think some fans here, WANT this to become worse than it is so far. They want the other shoe to drop. They want 30 other dudes and women to come out of the woodwork and start posting pics of Rex's cawk in some other dude's a$$. We are a society of vultures. We revel in Tiger Woods getting busted. We no longer glance at the accident as we pass by. We stop, gawk, and poke at the injured/dead bodies to see if we can get some more good gore. Enough is enough, the guy likes feet and he and his wife are pretty damn freaky. Good for them. I actually listened to some idiot radio analyst on Sirius Mad Dog talk about how it's not fair Brett Favre is investigated and potentially reprimanded but Rex Ryan is not. People look at things in half truths and try to spin it to suit a controversy. Brett Favre sent pictures of his cock to an unwilling coworker. Rex and his wife put pics up to people who are willing and wanting to look. HUGE DIFFERENCE! They clearly have a fetish and are exhibitionists most likely. Again...where's the crime here? It's such a sin for a married couple of 25+ years to engage in activity that keeps their marriage fresh and exciting I guess. Move on already.
