T0mShane
How much does the man on the grassy knoll have to pay for telling Alosi to do it in the first place? BTW, there will be a collection in the upper deck to pay this fine, and also to purchase the DuraFlames for the luxury boxes.

Larz
so if the jets can get through a week without a scandal or controversy, we can put all this crap behind us that would be nice so we could go back to bitching about the coaches and players

justincredible
Dumb. The opposing team isn't allowed to run out of bounds to get away from blockers, right? How would this give the Jets a "competitive advantage"?
GangisGreen
I love how the fact that a carolina player absoloutly mugged a gunner is completly forgotten about. Is Carolina getting fined for that?
PFSIKH
Dumb. The opposing team isn't allowed to run out of bounds to get away from blockers, right? How would this give the Jets a "competitive advantage"? A player can run out of bounds. And it kind of gives the Jets a 12th player. Just saying. PFSIKH
not to avoid blockers but hey, I shouldn't expect chowds to know or respect rules, lol However, he can when he is clearly driven out of bounds by two Jets players. RutgersJetFan
So, that's the deal La Fleur. I give you $100,000, you sign over the deed to Average Joe's. Period. End o' story.
Klecko73isGod
However, he can when he is clearly driven out of bounds by two Jets players. Have a nice day. If knocked out of bounds by blockers the gunner has to at least make an attempt to return to the field of play dipcrack. The same guy was flagged on the punt that immediately preceded the trip or doing the exact same thing. The only reason I am pissed at Alosi is because he cost the Jets 15 yards which would have possibly made the difference in game of field position. DMaynard
A player can run out of bounds. And it kind of gives the Jets a 12th player. Just saying. That is a dumb rule. Can he stop and get a hotdog and still be considered in play?
PFSIKH
oh, so now he was driven out of bounds way to change it up, bill "we didn't understand the memo" would be proud have a crappy day Was he flagged for going out of bounds on that play? No. Then obviously he was driven out of bounds. Well dingleberry, that he was flagged on one play has nothing to do with the other. Using your logic, maybe Alosi blocked him on that play as well. Plus, when your coach trips him, it is kind of hard to get back on the field. Just sayin'.
Garb
The fining system makes no sense to me. Tripping a guy out of bounds - 100k. Sending a pic of your pp - 50K. Allged drunk driving? Nadda. Hit to the head, 50K. Wait! Fine reduced to 40K! Excessive celebration 50K. What is the criteria for these fines? They are all over the place. Sargent Goodell is an idiot. Dude, you are the Commisoner of the NFL, not a supreme court justice, not Dog the Bounty Hunter, not Officer Krupke, not Judge Judy. Geez, this dude is on one money-driven power trip. But no Garby, they arent the darlings of the NFL. I heard that as well.....but it was because of protocol, not so much the ratting. Protocol says a team must notify the league of any wrong-doing instead of blurting stuff out to the media. Interesting, since the Jets have not had such issues with this in the past. Personally, I find that fine excessive and honestly, Sal is the fall guy here. You telling me the ST coach does not instruct the underlings to do this? C'mon. BB - LOL at that video. I missed the tripping though....
HessStation
LOL at the NFL, "hey let's wait for everyone to forget about the black marked incident we're praying everyone forgets about and, and then when everyones basically forgotten about it, let's hit these guys up with fines so it can resurface again. The fact that you missed the tripping...hence the difference between the Pats and the Jets. BB is a blackbelt ninja of cheating. It happened so quick you could not adjust the eyes fast enough. "A number of teams do it," Westhoff said. "There is a pretty good team up north that lines their whole defense up when they do it, so it's something that just kind of happened."
