Brandon Moore gonna hold out next year?

id be more concerned about losing brad smith if he was a real WR. His drop during the fake punt play was terrible. They can find another gadget guy in the draft, there's alot of these players... tyrod taylor for starters.

as for Moore he's a lunch pail player he's not holding out. Revis types can hold out. Brandon Moore who knows they used a 2nd rounder on Vlad, cannot.

Then I guess Woody better pony up a truck full of cash next year, right?

I don't know. This one is actually pretty tough to gauge. I just hope they have a good backup plan in place if they drop him, because most of our running success seems to be behind Moore, and Woody when he was healthy. I thought Ducasse was supposed to replace Woody and Moore would stick around, and Slauson at LG. But I guess that's not happening. I hope we are smart and draft O-line depth this year.

NOT Edwards - he has one legit drop all season.

What games are you watching? I'll give you he has been much better than his rep the past two years, but he had two in the NE game alone. Still a far cry from the bad drops he has in Cleveland, but he still drops some easy ones.

Rex called him the best guard in the league yesterday. I guess we can expect another hold out next year. just saying.

Joe Walton called his players pea brained and said they would never succeed in life. Would you prefer Rex spoke to them that way?

No, he called Lageman and Roger Vick ''Big''. Thats why they got their big contracts ;)

So did Revis ;) did that stop him from holding out?

when asked about the structure of his new contract, if he would hold out in two years revis' reply was more or less, "if I keep playing this way, probably"

that was a few days after signing his new deal

you really think that's because of what rex said, and not uncle sean and his agents ?

loz

So is the logic of this thread is, that because Rex Ryan says a player is the best at their position, they consequently hold out the following year?

no, the logic is bill parcells would always put his players down in the media, so his cap was always in order ;)

Something like that. While I don't buy the cause and affect. And attribute much more of the Mevi$ holdout to Mevi$ being a greedy POS, than anything Rex said. However, the end result of the Mevi$ holdout could encourage other players/agents to do the same if they feel the player could get more money. As the Jets do seem to be willing to fold in order to get players back on the field.

I'm surprised the majority of you dont get it. I really am. there arent too many employers out there talking up their employees unless they're willing to dish out some cash. and when you consider this is the NFL and the Jets and Rex. why are you so surprised that it wouldn't happen?

But of course you'll respond that I hate Rex because you can't stay on topic

This isn't that far fetched. He's 2 years through a 4 year contract. I'm not sure of his bonus status, but they forced him to sign that deal because they cut him to avoid paying him a bonus. I doubt he likes that and probably doesn't feel he owes the team much.

YOU'RE CRAZY! HE WILL NEVER HOLD OUT! JiF SAID SO!

You want to talk about ex-jets who come back to haunt us? The thought of Brad Smith with an OC with imagination ...

He could split him out wide to use his athleticism over CBs or have him throw 20-30 passes for TD a season!

Not many RGs I'd pick over Moore...Evans, Dahl, and Snee...he's been called underrated long and often enough to not be underrated anymore, but he's a good player with at least a year or two in him.

It's not like there is any reason to think he will. He's at the stage of his career where he can't expect a decent deal past this one, but he's also making $2-3M per + bonus, so he'd be risking that too. Not worth a thread, but not out of the realm of possiblity.
