Ken Schroy
I heard it on Michael Kay. A family member called in. Earlier in an interview with Kay, Sanchez got choked up talking about Aiden. But he never mentioned paying for the Funeral. A moving story.

SoFlaJets
Listen to the podcast here. Mark got all choked up when Kay asked him about it. It's worth the listen-the whole thing but at around the 17 minute mark is where they start talking about it. It seemed to put things into perspective for the young Sanchez when he thought about his struggles and his shoulder. http://espn.go.com/blog/new-york/jets/post/_/id/3888/podcast-mark-sanchez-
The Crusher
Who is Aiden ? Terminally ill little Jet fan boy that Sanchez spent time with and made a very special impact in his short life. Made me gain a lot of respect for Mark. People who do things like this are impressive to me, people who do it without talking much about it even more so. RIP Aiden

RIP Aiden and the only reason it GOT out was because the kid's family WANTED the world to know what kind of a person the Jets have in Mark Sanchez. It only came out after the boy passed away too. JiF
Mark will forever have my respect! This. I'm very hard on Mark and dont know what kind of career he will have. It might not be one we want to remember. But I will always remember and appreciate Mark for the impact he had on Aiden's life. And like Crusher said, he's doing it with out the camera's around which makes it sincere. To hear that he's paying for the funeral is really touching. Guest
He is a great human being and I respect that about him. The Gun Of Bavaria
I think there are more athletes like this out there and we never hear their stories because the media is obsessed with the negative. My hats off to Sanchez. Such a great story in a world of dookie.

serphnx
I think there are more athletes like this out there and we never hear their stories because the media is obsessed with the negative. My hats off to Sanchez. Such a great story in a world of dookie. Tony Romo does a lot of good things too but as you said the media just has no interest in positives. I've always said Sanchez is a good kid. When the Jets drafted him they knew there would be no Raplisberger or Vick incident with him. He's smart, very mature and can handle the NY pressure. Very few people if any on this board, even given Sanchez' physical talents, would be able to handle being QB for the NYJ in the media capitol of the world. The scrutiny is just too much and you're just too young to know how to handle it, if you ever learn how to. Even CP had his meltdowns and he was a master manipulator trained by perhaps the best media wizard of all time in Herm Edwards.
