How many more years do we live with Sanchez??

I don't think he's cut out for this league. Hopefully i'm wrong and he becomes a franchise QB, i would gladly eat crow, but i don't see it happening. He has almost two full years in the league and has shown zero improvement reading defenses, not staring down receivers, terrible in the pocket, terrible completion %, erratic throws etc... at this point with almost two full years in we should see a ton of improvement. I don't have much hope for him putting it together.

It stinks, because VY is available this offseason, and he is probably going to Miami or Buffalo.

If you think Vince Young is a good QB you fail.

Plus the NY media would cause him to put a bullet in his brain by week 7.

The guy had a 98 QB rating....

His team also collapsed when Fisher annoyed him....

He's an upgrade over Mark....

Sanchez has shown immense improvement. I don't know what you expect. He might not turn out to be as good as Matt Ryan but whatever... he is plenty good.

You want improvement?

Year 1. 15 games played: 12 TD, 20 INT, 63 rating, 53.8% completion, 3 fumbles lost

vs.

Year 2. 15 games played: 17 TD, 13 INT, 75.3 rating, 54.8% completion, 1 fumble lost (+5 TD, -7 INT, +12.3 rating, +1% completion, -2 fumbles lost)

The only stat that stands out there that isn't much improved is completion percentage. He's got to work on that. With that said, this is a perfectly reasonable progression we're looking at here.

In fact, if the progression continued at the same rate you're looking at:

Year 3. 15 games played: 22 TD, 6 INT, 87.6 rating, 55.8% completion, 0 fumbles lost.

Now, the progression probably WON'T continue at the same rate, but those would be GREAT stats. That he probably won't progress at the same rate is actually more proof that he HAS progressed pretty far for year 2.. considering his limited college experience.

I would forget about law school if I were you and do whatever you need to do to secure some form of government job ... say public school custodian ... I'd suggest the US Postal Service but they probably won't exist through your career.

Are you Bud Adams. You have this weird man crush on VY. Sanchez has been in the league 2 years and in that time has shown more as a pro passer than VY ever will.

Sanchez is the real deal, he may just need more time, not every franchise quarterback becomes one overnight. Even Flacco and Ryan had off years last year, their 2nd year. They weren't slumps, but they were down from the rookie sensation years. I'm convinced Sanchz will blow everyone away next year.

I have great news!!! You are completely wrong. Just make sure the crow is well cooked and you smother it with some kind of sauce.

Couldn't disagree more. He is in a very good place with so little experience under his belt. There is no reason to believe that he cannot be the man for many years.

Vince Young really stinks. I hear all this about Sanchez' improvement but I cannot get past this 54% completion stuff. It really disturbs me. And the QB rating is in the dumpster.

Young is a tremendous athlete who when he wants to can play the game with big time potential. but he never wants to. Mentally soft, probably misses his demi-God college days.

Sanchez scares the hell out of most of us and those that say he doesn;t are just being strong for the rest of us. He has shown improvement in certain areas but his numbers do lack and in a very big way. I hold hope it has to do with the little bit of playing time he had in college and in time he will get it together. Best thing he did last year was play well in the post season, if he does it again that's the thing to pin your hope on.

Be careful of supporting VY alot of people around here dont like him. Hard not to like a strong armed QB who can run when he has to. I hope Sanchez proves us doubters wrong.

Hard to like a supposed professional who has the maturity of a 4 year old.
