Scott Dierking
Give props for the staff not being stubborn and thinking in traditional terms. They also basically decided they would not get pressure, even pressuring. They are becoming less stubborn. I will be interesting to see what wrinkles they have for the Pats

JonEJet
didn't Eric Smith play there as well? I saw Eric Smith lining up at LB...they ran at Eric, and he was stuffing the run.....lol
#27TheDominator
It's nothing so revolutionary. Ihedigbo played LB last year.
NJ
If we get the same kind of play out of our safeties next week, wherever they're lined up. We have a good chance.
LionelRichie
Manning talked about in the interview after the game. When asked about calling the runs on 3rd and long he said "the Jets had #34 Cole at DE, they are pretty much daring you to run"
Mattyandthejets
I like this new approach on defense. People on espn were talking about it after the game i believe. they were not getting traditional pressure on the qb, but they were basically forcing manning to run plays he did not want to run. when you put coleman at DE or LB its almost impossible to resist running the ball in that instance because the big play potential is there, but the jets tackled well. You could tell manning was frustrated about how the jets basically gave him a menu of plays he was going to be able to run and he didnt like what was on the menu. Kleckineau
Smith and Coleman made some very nice stops on run plays. Strong safety playing behind the d-line nothing new.

The defense that the Jets played last night meant that they HAD to come up and make sure tackles. For the most part, they did that. Scott's tackle to force the FG was a big one

The Jets have no pass rush, so why even bother? Just keep giving Peyton looks to make him want to run the ball, which he did. Probably Rex's best coaching job thus far. SenorGato
What? Did you not see our players used as they should be used towards their strengths and not their weaknesses? That is how players should be used according to Parcells theory.
