The wool is great, but the nylon liner turns to ice if any breeze goes up your sleeve or back. If a tailor could put a flannel liner in the thing, I'd LIVE in it. joebabyny Posted January 12, 2011 Share Posted January 12, 2011 I disagree. There may be some douches going around in them, but the peacoat is a classic timeless part of a man's wardrobe. I am talking about real peacoats like you would find in an army/navy store, like the Schott brand, and not some thin lightweight designer ripoff of the original. These should not be lumped together with the telltale markings of the modern day douchebag, affliction/tapout/edhardy and goucci/versace glasses. This is generally how I wear mine, with a solid dark tshirt. I just need to get my Florida non-resident carry conceal permit to add the accessories shown.
