Our beloved Jets the 6th seed has more than a punchers chance to win this weekend.

Nice stat, but to be accurate, it's actually 4 of the last 6:

2009

#1 Ind over #6 Bal

2008

#6 Bal over #1 Ten

#6 Phi over #1 NYG

2006

#6 Pit over #1 Ind

2005

#6 Pit over #1 Ind

#1 Sea over #6 Was

That's what I get for listening to the little Mike on Mike & Mike

Technically Mike & Mike was correct. The Seahawks game was on Saturday and the Pitt game was on Sunday. So if you arbitrary make the dividing line at midnight between Jan 14 and Jan 15 than it becomes 4 out of 5.

It is also correct equally correct to say that in the since Jan 12 2009 the number 1 seed is undefeated when playing the #6 seed. And equally as meaningless.

Well, no - technically, if the Seahawks won on Saturday, then that makes it 3 out of the last 5 (not counting Pittsburgh's win on Sunday).

You got that backwards.....

Seahawks #1 seed won on Saturday...the next day Pitt the #6 won.

So if we draw the line at midnight after the Seahawks win and start counting the games on Sunday when Pitt won going forward it is 4 out of 5. Or 4 in a row until Indy won.

I know you're a Patsie fan, so I'll type this slowly so you might have a chance of grasping this simple concept:

2009

1) #1 Ind over #6 Bal (0 wins out of 1 game for the #6 Seed)

2008

2) #6 Bal over #1 Ten (1 win out of 2 games for the #6 Seed)

3) #6 Phi over #1 NYG (2 wins out of 3 games for the #6 Seed)

2006

4) #6 Pit over #1 Ind (3 wins out of 4 games for the #6 Seed)

2005

5) #1 Sea over #6 Was (3 wins out of 5 games for the #6 Seed)

6) #6 Pit over #1 Ind (4 wins out of 6 games for the #6 Seed)

I hope this clears things up for you Troll!

That is not the order of events.....

This is:

2005

1) #1 Sea over #6 Was (not counted) On Saturday....

2) #6 Pit over #1 Ind (1 wins out of 5 games for the #6 Seed) On Sunday the following day....

2006

3) #6 Pit over #1 Ind (2 wins out of 5 games for the #6 Seed)

2008

4) #6 Bal over #1 Ten (3 win out of 5 games for the #6 Seed)

5) #6 Phi over #1 NYG (4 wins out of 5 games for the #6 Seed)

2009

6) #1 Ind over #6 Bal (0 wins out of 5 games for the #6 Seed)

So if you start counting at midnight between Saturday night and Sunday morning you leave out the Seahawks game.

Well played, Hoodie. Well played ...

XO, DLJ is not the black Kelly. Unless she is, which would be pretty funny. I think another pic like the Holmes jersey one might clear it up, and I'm sure that 5 would prove it beyond a doubt.

PM

check it.

In 2006 there was no #1 vs #6, let alone an upset.

Pretty sure it's because I'm awesome.

DLJ, a pleasure. Thanks.

If I agree that Schottenheimer is the best OC ever, cats are awesome, and Niki Minaj is the best rapper ever, ever, will you forward those pics to me? Let's forget the whole "we're mortal enemies" thing for a minute and unite in the understanding that DLJ is hot.
