The Nets continue to be a laughing stock. They basically gave up a crapload of picks and favors for a 1.5 year rental. Williams can't get the pre CBA extension and he's gone after 2012 unless there is a franchise tag.

They gave up their own pick in 2011, which, if unprotected, would normally be a gamble, but this year's draft is going to be terrible anyhow. The other #1 going to Utah is from the Warriors.

the knicks to be honest.

What are you insane? The knicks are the hottest ticket in NY, they are a shoe in for the playoffs for the first time in YEARS and they have 2 legit superstars who will help them get a 3rd.

Get in price for Melo's Debut with the Knicks on stubhub: $170

Get in price for D-Will's Nets debut: $2.00

Thats all you need to know.

wow really!!! the playoffs!!! Yipppeeeee. Everyone knows owners are losing money and the cap is projected to go down. If Isiah can convince CP3 or D12 to play for 8 mil per while amare and Melo are both gonna be over 20 mil per...good luck!

The heat were a joke of a franchise going nowhere fast before they got lucky and Lebron chose them. Knicks were in the same situation. Don't press your luck.

Um, dude, the Nets have probably been in the Finals twice since the last time the Knicks won a playoff game. The Nets have been a laughingstock for what? 3 years?

Using ticket prices to indiccate superiority is kind of strange coming from a Jets fan. I could just picture Andy Rooney explaining how you are a "laughingstock" because the Giants sell out and have a longer waiting list.

this is true

after they failed to trade for Amare last year and Boozer the year before they were at risk of losing D-wade if they didn't make him happy

The Nets were in the finals twice and no cared. They didn't even sell out NBA finals games. Talk about a joke...

Secondary market ticket prices are a great way to judge how popular a team is. Thats completely different than what the team is selling the tickets for. When your tickets are going for 2 bucks on the secondary market that means no one cares about you.
