Just because he's not having a historically great season, doesn't mean he isn't the most valuable player. The guy with the best stats isn't always the most important guy in the league to his team. I just like going by the stuff that's quantifiable. Its the most fair way. There's no way to judge "most important" other than using the guy that contributes the most wins to a team. Bautista has been that guy by a long shot this season. Hell Ortiz as of now is having the best year at the plate of any Red Sox. It's arguable that Verlander hasnt even been the best pitcher in the AL. Why wouldnt Weaver get some votes? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
