I'm sure this is going to make a gazillion dollars, but it's been pretty clear from the get-go that they're just remaking Captain America in kind of the same way they did Iron Man with Doctor Strange. The same story, over and over and over and over, enough already.

In the meantime a masterpiece like Mandy can't even get a little bit of attention.

I'm not really looking forward to this one.

SPent 20 movies builidng up the characters in Marvel, now they are going to bring in the one that no one knew about to save the day.   Seems like a cop out, lazy way to end the Infinity War.

This probably isn't a good time to mention Adam warlock  lol

I thought brie was cute, but lacking any weight or gravitas for the role.

Been waiting for Adam Warlock ever since they teased his cocoon in the Collector’s trophy room in the first Guardians movie. Jim Starlin did some amazing cosmic sh*t in the 70’s and early 80’s. Still waiting on a Dreadstar movie/series.

I also really want to see Howard the Duck in more than these little split second cameo roles.

Bob Iger also pretty much confirmed that the Fantastic Four will make their way into the MCU within the next 2-3 years.

Dr. Doom, baby!

Hopefully he’s finally done justice on screen.

Get Gary Oldman on the phone immediately. I could care less if he’s pushing 60 (hell, he’s still only 5 years older than RDJ). He’d be amazing in the role. Plus I expect Doom to have the mask and armor on at least 95% of the time anyway.

I didn't notice the cocoon before, have to check that out.

I don't share your enthusiasm for Howard I must confess ?

The 80’s movie was sh*t.

The Steve Gerber comics were fantastic.

A jar of peanut butter that morphs into a sword wielding barbarian?

Only Steve Gerber...with a head full of acid.

Like Swamp Thing, people judge Howard the Duck by the god-awful movie adaptions of the 80s. The comics are some of the best sh*t ever written. The original Howard books have a huge cult following in the comics world.

Funny story about Swamp Thing: because that movie was so bad and bombed so much in the 80s, DC completely stopped caring about the character and left it for dead. They let a young Alan Moore come on and basically gave him free reign to do whatever he wanted, including abandoning the Comics Code Authority, which was unheard of at the time. Like story short he winds up doing some seriously deranged sh*t with the character and it becomes a huge hit (and legit these are the some of the greatest comics ever written, Saga of Swamp Thing #21 is my favorite comic of all time). DC finally recognizes they have a star in Moore and also the potential for an untapped market in adult-oriented comics; this directly leads to Moore being given the green light to do Watchmen, which along with Dark Knight Returns goes on to completely reinvent comic books and establish the basis for every single decent comic book movie that exists today.

Thus, Wes Craven's god awful Swamp Thing flick in '82 is largely responsible for everything peeps enjoy today.

I think Warlock will be key in the 3rd Guardians, but wont be a factor in Infinity war.

Yeah I read up on it. I totally forgot all of those after credit scenes in guardians 2

I actually watched infinity war with my son Saturday morning for only the 2nd time

That movie never lets up. Even the romantic scene between the witch and vision is interrupted by a huge battle lol

Thanos generals were so so so good.

The scene where starlord hits Thanos is so good

Stormbreaker Thor in wakanda was porn lol

Captain Marvel Trailer release today at Noon?

Would seem to be a good time.  With the opening of the NFL this week, I would bet that the trailer gets released today and is shown multiple times as a commercial during the games this weekend.

Edit:  Just a big tease with set photos etc.   Nothing else.

I need something substantial from this movie!!!!

You buttfumbled yourself here good sir.

Love the Watchmen, but I also loved that Swamp Thing movie.  It was so bad that it was good, if that makes any sense.   I also like the Toxic Avenger movies.

couldnt even make it throuigh solo. the acting and script was horrendous

See, I didn't think it was that bad.

Not amazing by any stretch, but way better than Episode 8.   But, it was what it was, a kind space heist movie, nothing more than that.

Solo....

If it was the exact same movie, everything exactly the same, but without "star wars " slapped on it, it wouldn't have ever been made....and even if it was, it would have bombed harder than the Enola Gay. It would be "The Postman" level panned.

Star Wars ended when the Emperor took the Express Elevator to engineering. Sad how they've butchered the brand.

I don't understand what the argument even is here. We're talking about a dystopian society, ravaged by warlords, whose only salvation is through Kevin Costner delivering the mail. If that's not 50 shades of brilliant I don't know what is.

wtf lol

The book was actually good.

If you’re looking for a decent new horror movie, check out ‘The Void’ on Netflix.

Me and the wife watched it last night and holy hell was I impressed.

It’s not some sort of masterpiece or anything but what a breath of fresh air seeing a new age horror flick go with 100% practical effects for the monsters and gore. Guys like Rob Bottin, Stan Winston and Tom Savini would be proud.

A couple of the monsters look like they could’ve come straight out of Carpenter’s ‘The Thing’.

The book is crazier. In the book, theres an AI computer entity that rules the world and a bunch of other crazy stuff....like "Omega Man" crazy.

"Get away from our Pacific Northwest fortress city or we'll kill you!"

But I have 20 year old mail!

"OK, let him in and let him bang our hot girl...."

"We are a psychotic, dystopian army that wants to kill everyone, we worship the number 8 and have a backstory we forgot to really get into during this 7 hour movie.....oh, but you know our rules list? We must obey the list!"

I'm the guy that quotes Iron Eagle to teenagers in 2018 and then gets legit frustrated when they don't know what I'm talking about. This shouldn't be surprising.

I feel your pain.

I can’t believe there are people who haven’t seen Max Magician and the Legend of the Rings.

First Man is incredible. The flag controversy behind it was totally overblown. The context Chazelle is aiming for is very clear and it has nothing to do with politics. It's an incredibly inspiring movie and the finale is top notch. Neil Armstrong was the ******* man.

How have you seen this already? Looking forward to seeing it on IMAX. My favorite movie of all time is The Right Stuff....looking forward to an epic about our greatest human achievement thus far.

Is it ok for a 9 year old? My son wants to see it....

I don't know how to put this, but I'm kind of a big deal.

So far as for kids, I honestly don't know anything about kids. Probably? I'm not the right guy for this question tbh.

Saw a star is born last night.

Pretty good movie. I did not fall asleep.

I have to say, that guy cooper, hes got it all. Handsome as hell, built, great actor, director and now hes also got a great voice and can play solid guitar. Gaga was real good too and she is hot  in a normal girl next door aort of way.

Ending very sad

Have seen the first two versions (other than the gorgeous Technicolor, did not dig the original; and the Streisand one from the 70s is goofy/hokey) so guess I'll need to check this one out too.  Not in theaters though.
