Was the cast of Jersey Shore and their families there?

Regardless of who it was. This is some serious sh*t. The Jersey shore has some really high priced real estate that is quickly going down the tubes because of all this.

Fights broke out along the boardwalk late Monday evening and into early Tuesday morning, resulting in the arrest of 62 people – 59 adults and three juveniles – with the assistance of police officers from Lavallette and Toms River, according to Detective Steve Korman.

Damn police harassing them kids again huh?

If it's not prom weekend, it's Memorial Day weekend, or July 4th weekend...mother**** Sleazeside. Scummiest place on Earth. Been that way for over 10 years now at least.

The Seaside Heights Police Department needs to pay more closer attention to the real criminals who visit town, instead of issuing so many parking tickets and picking on kids cruising the Boulevard. These types of problems will certainly hinder the businesses from earning a livelihood as many just will stay away.

Wha? The kids who cruise the boardwalk and boulevard in Seaside, for the most part, are punks. They travel in packs and do everything from harassing families and couples just having to have a nice night out, to damaging property and drunk driving. The place is a dump and it's the trolls that flock there specifically who make it that way. Thank GOD for the Seaside police. Seen plenty of incidents down there get stopped by the cops before they got out of hand, specifically because they were watching the boulevard.

Thousands of people were in town for a fireworks show on Monday evening, and many remained on the boardwalk after the show wrapped up around 9:20 p.m., Korman explained.

Sporadic fights broke out along the boardwalk beginning around 10:30 p.m. and as the number of fights increased, Police Chief Thomas Boyd arrived on scene to assess the situation, Korman said.

The fights heated up between 11:30 p.m. and midnight, and by 1 a.m. Boyd determined the boardwalk should be closed for the safety of the people there, Korman added.

I disagree. Not all kids are gang members or out to cause a problem because they travel in packs. Ive seen all-american kids athletes harrassed and ticketed for nothing. They look the other way to the real criminals and only mess with them when they have to. Cars are being broken into down there and homes burglarized. I doubt its kids on prom weekend.

Yeah, no reason to keep an eye on younger folk traveling in packs, right?

So all kids are trouble at Seaside Heights? Arent law enforcement personnel trained to be on the lookout for possible gang activities or those seeking trouble? How about more emphasis on real criminals and not expired meters and kids on prom weekend looking to get laid.

What is your point RutgersJetFan im having a hard time understanding your opinions here?

got here and there were three racks knocked over. They knocked back the showcase,” said Portnoff, 54, pointing at the broken base of the glass showcase that holds sunglasses and hair accessories. “We were lucky that nothing was taken and their was limited damage. The police did an outstanding job.”

Been problems there for awhile now-people coming from other areas causing trouble

Between the reality shows The Real Housewives of New Jersey and The Jersey Shore, the "improved" Meadowlands, Newark, Atlantic City and now this....I have concluded that New Jersey is a dump.

Only the untrained eye needed the reality shows The Real Housewives of New Jersey and The Jersey Shore, the "improved" Meadowlands, Newark, Atlantic City and now this to conclude that.

No wonder you are friends with T0m Shane.

And exactly who are the 'real' criminals?

Just to be clear: cops rule. yeah bitches. carry on.

Omkay, enuff comedy. Seaside is a powderkeg. Most inner-cities are powderkegs. White, black and brown--they're all a mess. Broke, worried, jobless, nervous, young and stupid, and no cops to keep the peace because taxpayers can't or won't pay for officers. Tough time for the po-po. Tough time for the public. Tough time for Seaside and every place like it. Lets just be thankful that, though there is a heights, there is no valley. Cause you know every town with a valley has mad crime.

Are you serious? Have you ever seen the Police prescence in Seaside Heights N.J. This isnt about tax payers paying for officers. This about society and what is allowed to continue to ruin the Jersey Shore.

Someone has to clean up the mess you left wing loonies created. ;)

Kidding....I'm really not familiar with the tea party fanatics. I just know they are fanatics. Fanatics of any kind - unless they are Pats fans - can't be a good thing. :)

Nice touch. Why not just use the word "brutes" and be done with it?

The animals that are wreaking havoc at the Jersey Shore dont deserve to be called "brutes". How about punks low-lifes menaces to society.

Im in no way shape or form bashing the Seaside Heights Police Department. Are you?
