Mota relief pitcher- he could be a steal in this trade if he can control his emotions. another guy that has real good stuff to try to put it all together You are right Faba. The Sox now have not one, but two Aces who have proven without a shadow of a doubt that they can stand on the mound in the Bronx for a big game and absolutely piss all over the Yankees Fantasy Baseball Line-up. Yes, trade was a no-brainer. But why did the Bosox have serious concerns about his shoulder, so much so, that they demanded the Marlins add Mota for a minor leager, or they turn away from this deal. Add in the fact that Beckett has been DLed twice for shoulder tendonitis, and 9 times in 5 years for blisters, and there is a strong possibility that something goes wrong in 2006 with him. Actually, in the last few years, he has been on the DL more times then these folks combined :wink: Seriously, the trade was a very solid one for the Bosox. The risk is what will the health picture be with Schilling and Beckett. Beckett has never pitched more then 180 or so innings. Never. The injury issue is a real live concern. Hanley Ramirez was/is one of those "cant miss" prospects. He was a SS though, and as you know we have Edgar Renteria for the next 3 years and an infield prospect named Dustin Pedroia equivalent to H. Ramirez's level 2 years ago. What you, as a Yankee fan, MEANT to say was: "it must be nice to have depth" Yes, JonEJinx, Maxman, and others, it is very nice! You wouldnt know much about that. Now Toronto, that team is one of the freespenders!
