JetNation
Inactives for the #NYJets season opener #OAKvsNYJ pic.twitter.com/X8IRBudDCt — New York Jets (@nyjets) September 7, 2014 The Jets will enter week 1 even lighter at DB than anticipated. Dee Milliner will not play as expected. Recent addition Leon McFadden will also sit. Other inactives include: Bush, Dozier, Enemkpali, Ijalana, Powell The absence of Josh Bush will make the secondary even lighter at the safety position. Ikemefuna “IK” Enemkpali was a force to be reckoned with during the preseason, but will miss the first week of the regular season. The Jets will also be a little thin with their offensive line depth, both guard Dakota Dozier, and tackle Ben Ijalana will sit. Newly acquired WR Walter Powell won’t make his appearance week 1 either. The Jets will dress TJ Barnes, giving them 6 defensive linemen, anticipating a heavy ground game from the Raiders. According to Idzik you shouldn’t’ refer to the Jets’ secondary as a “gaping hole” just yet, hopefully he’s right. Antonio Allen and Darrin Walls will get the call at corner, and have an opportunity to make a name for themselves. View the full article
