Among the teams interested in veteran RB Matt Forte: The #Jets and #Dolphins. His market will heat up when the other RBs sign. — Ian Rapoport (@RapSheet) March 9, 2016 While finding the salary cap room to sign a player of Forte’s stature will be challenging for the cash-strapped Jets who are roughly $6 million under, they likely see him as a more valuable asset than Ivory as he’s managed to stay healthy throughout the course of his 8 pro seasons while Ivory has had some ill-timed injuries. In addition, Forte is a far greater threat as a receiver out of the backfield, having logged 487 receptions for 4,116 in his career, to Ivory’s 50 catches for 350 yards in six seasons.
