Hilliard, who played in 12 games for the Jets last year, will have season- ending surgery to repair a fractured shoulder blade, according to ProFootballTalk.com. He suffered the injury during practice on Tuesday. The 29-year-old Hilliard didn't play in either of the first two preseason games because of a rib injury.Hilliard has carried the ball 48 times for 163 yards and two touchdowns in 62 career games with the Dolphins, Patriots and Jets. The Montana product has also caught 30 passes for 233 yards and two scores.Rookie Tommy Bohanon is now in line to win the starting fullback job. In case you missed it, he is going to miss the entire season with a broken scapula (shoulder blade). Two players have been signed, OL Scott Wedige and WR Marcus Rucker.Marcus Rucker was an undrafted free agent in 2013, originally signed by the Chicago Bears out of the University of Memphis. He’s a big guy at 6’4″, 185 pounds, and will be looking for a place on the depth chart at wide receiver. Scott Wedige was an undrafted free agent in 2012 out of Northern Illinois. He has gone between the Cardinals, the Giants, the Bengals, and the Cardinals again before landing with the Jets today.
