nyjunc Posted September 28, 2016 Share Posted September 28, 2016 This has been an interesting series all time, the Seahawks debuted in 1976 and they couldn't beat many teams but dominated the Jets. Even in 1981 where after an 0-3 start we went 10-2-1 the final 13 with the 2 losses to Seattle. We started out 0-7 against Seattle until we finally beat them in 1985. The 1985 season we went 11-5 while Seattle was mediocre but they still took a 14-0 lead at the half on us and it looked like we'd be 0-8 against them but 17 unanswered points led to our first win. We then won 8 of 9 games in the series including teh Vinny TD game in '98 and Parcells' last game with us in '99. We have lost 2 straight though both at what is now CenturyLink Field, this is our first macthup w/ them at the new Stadium and first home game against them since 2004 when Jerry Rice caught a TD for the Seahawks that day but we crushed them anyway.
