Another roster surprise: Jets are planning to release veteran LB David Harris, sources tell ESPN. Was going into 11th season. — Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter) June 6, 2017 Harris, a veteran of 11 seasons was thought to be safe for the 2017 season as the Jets would be looking for veteran leaders to lead them through what’s sure to be a difficult campaign with development of young players being more important than on-field results.
