MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) -- Jacary Atkinson threw for 279 and four touchdowns and rushed for 159 yards and two more touchdowns to lead Tuskegee to a 64-58 overtime win over Alabama State in the Turkey Day Classic.

It was the fourth straight win for the Golden Tigers (11-0, 7-0) in the annual meeting with the Hornets (5-6, 4-5).

After Tuskegee scored first and led for the whole first quarter, ASU pulled ahead early in the second quarter. Tuskegee managed to tie the score up twice and finally took the lead when Jason English scored on a 63-yard pass from Atkinson with 1:41 to go in the second quarter.

The Golden Tigers held onto their lead throughout the last two quarters of the game, leading by as many as 15 points. But Jay Peck scored for the Hornets with 27 seconds remaining in regulation to tie the score at 44-44 and send the game into overtime.

Steve Briggs helped the Hornets take a 51-44 lead in overtime when he scored on a 9-yard pass from Chris Mitchell. The score was tied twice in overtime but Tuskegee finally sealed the win on a Richard Fitzhugh touchdown.

Jason English caught five passes for 159 yards and three touchdowns for Tuskegee.

Peck rushed for 138 yards and one touchdown for ASU, while Mitchell passed for 272 yards and four touchdowns and Cedric Harris caught six passes for 104 yards and two touchdowns.

Alabama State outgained Tuskegee 505-496.
