  1. Until his goal in the last game I would have thought Roslovic might be the natural choice
  2. Mika was a big contributor last night which bodes well for our chances. PP slap shot still seems a little off however. Cannot overestimate the improvement in defense with moving back to a Schneider/Miller pairing. Time to put the Caps out of their misery this weekend and then get ready for Carolina
  3. Yeah i wanted them to dirty up the canes in that series but maybe that was too much to hope for
  4. OK that was nerve racking. At least we are not down a goal or three so there is that.
  5. Islanders got hosed on as couple of those penalty calls tonight. Freddy Anderson was great but I think NY was the better team most of the game.
  6. I love the Knicks and will be sure to be watching their games too but Rangers fans should be ready for crappy ice at MSG for the duration.
  7. I am guessing that number one must cover situations where a complete schedule is not possible. It may be in there for things like COVID. I guess the same number of points in fewer games makes sense. Specific to our current situation the Capitals have 31 wins in regulation and Detroit has 27
  8. While watching the Caps game last night the commentators were saying that if the Caps win both games in any form that they are in the playoffs so while I am not sure which specific tiebreaker it is, the Caps look like our likely opponent this weekend. <edited to add> Caps have the head to head tiebreaker over Detroit. Personally I would love to see a Rangers Vs. Capitals matchup. We can run into issues with teams like Detroit who have the ability to put up goals in bunches. Even though that is not how playoffs games tend to work I would much rather face a more conventional opponent like the Capitals. Maybe I am just channeling how the Devils knocked us off last year. Last year's Devils were another team who could score in bunches. They suddenly discovered defensive discipline mid-series against us and we had no good answers. Hurricanes Vs. Islanders. Hopefully they beat each other up a bit. Or maybe even more than a bit.
  9. Heck of a season. Nice way to top it off with the Igor shutout too. The new defensive pairings dropping Trouba down to third pair seem to be better. Rest up boys and get ready for God knows who out of the Capitals, Red Wings, Penguins or Flyers. In order of preference Red Wings, Capitals, Flyers and then finally, The Penguins
  10. Stop giving press conferences and let your play do the talking Aaron. Nobody effing cares at this point.
  11. I Dunno. I worry that his last hit should probably have been THE L:AST head shot for his career
  12. His level of effort is nonexistent. I get the fact that he is an elite net front presence on the power play but I also think that has a lot to do with the service he is getting from the other members of that unit. The good news is that his numbers are going to drive up the price we could get.
  13. I would trade him in a heartbeat.
