Bills RB Jackson feeling underappreciated

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. — Fred Jackson is feeling underappreciated in wondering what he has to do to prove to the Buffalo Bills that he's their No. 1 running back.

Jackson says he doesn't know where he stands with the team after C.J. Spiller started and got a majority of snaps with the first-stringers in a 24-10 preseason loss at Denver on Saturday. The five-year veteran spoke out after the team returned to practice at their facility in Orchard Park on Monday.

Jackson believes he's earned the right to be treated as the Bills starter based on how he's led the team in rushing the past two years.

Coach Chan Gailey says he regards both players to be starters, while adding Jackson is "a little bit ahead" of Spiller.
