JetNation
After the season ended, GM Mike Tannenbaum stated that the QB depth chart would look very different for the Jets next season. What nobody anticipated was the revolving door and drama of this past week. On March 16th the Jets signed Drew Stanton to be the backup QB. The deal was worth a reported 1.25 million for one year, with a signing bonus of 500k. After the Tim Tebow signing, it became clear that Stanton was going to be the odd man out. Greg McElroy is better suited to be the # 3 because he makes less money. Manish Mehta from the NY Daily News is reporting that the Jets will give up Stanton, a 7th round pick and receive a 6th round pick in return. Jets traded Stanton and Jax's 7th rd pick for 6th rd pick (originaly from Eagles), per source. — Manish Mehta(@TheJetsStream) March 23, 2012 Jets fans are discussing this trade from the Jets Nation forum.
