JetNation
According to John Ourand of the Sports Business Journal, the NFL will release the 2013 schedule on April 16th. This report has also appeared on SB Nation. Source: NFL releases its schedule April 16, giving the league 3-1/2 weeks to work out an agreement with MLB/Orioles for the kick-off game. — John Ourand (@Ourand_SBJ) March 21, 2013 What we know for sure is the schedule is always released before the NFL draft. This year the draft is scheduled to take place from Thursday April 25th through Saturday April 27th. So even if the report of the schedule being released on April 16th is inaccurate, it will definitely be right around that date. We do know who the Jets 2013 opponents will be, that list appears below. New York Jets Home: Buffalo Bills, Miami Dolphins, New England Patriots, Cleveland Browns, Pittsburgh Steelers, New Orleans Saints, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Oakland Raiders Away: Buffalo Bills, Miami Dolphins, New England Patriots, Baltimore Ravens, Cincinnati Bengals, Atlanta Falcons, Carolina Panthers, Tennessee Titans Follow Me: View the full article
kelly
It’s now officially the time to look for the unofficial clues regarding the date on which the NFL will release the 2013 schedule. And the biggest clue comes via Mark Durant of the Greenfield (Mass.) Recorder, who has passed along to PFT that he spotted among NFL Network’s online listings a Schedule Release Show to be aired on Tuesday, April 16, at 8:00 p.m. ET. Landing nine days before the draft, the timing makes sense. Also, Tuesday has become the usual day of the week on which the NFL pulls the sheet off the new schedule. The strangest aspect of the listing is that the NFL in recent years has kept the listings for NFL Network vague in the weeks before the schedule release, allowing for flexibility and also creating buzz as folks with nothing better to do (i.e., me) wonder when we’ll find out the “when” that goes with what we already know — the “who” and the “where.” Think about that for a second. We already know the opponents and the locations for all 256 regular-season games. But yet the announcement of the week-by-week configuration of the games will be the dominant news of the sports world, for at least one news cycle. Eat that, Orioles. > http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2013/03/25/schedule-apparently-is-coming-on-april-16/
