JetNation
Today the New York Jets (7-9) face an old familiar divisional opponent, the Miami Dolphins (8-7) at SunLife stadium. The Jets have been eliminated from playoff contention themselves but today they have the opportunity to eliminate their rival’s hopes of playing in the playoffs. Another underlying story in today’s game is Rex Ryan’s head coaching job. There are now multiple signs pointing to Rex Ryan returning as Jets HC next season, per sources; still some issues to work through, however. — Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter) December 28, 2013 Despite reports from ESPN’s Adam Schefter earlier in the week, it is still unclear what direction Jets General Manager John Idzik wants to go with the head coach position. Its been reported that a majority of the players are in support of extending their coach and would like to win today and end the season on a high note for Coach Rex Ryan and all the Jets fan base. Thank you to all the fans who have supported us through the thick and thin and will be just as loud & supportive as we face Miami tomorrow.. — Austin Howard (@AustinHoward68) December 28, 2013 J! E!
