The New York Jets graded out well back in May. They're still grading out well here in November, but a look at 10 top offseason moves shows there is plenty of credit to go around. Best head-coaching hire : Todd Bowles, New York Jets Other leading candidates -- Jack Del Rio, Dan Quinn and Gary Kubiak in particular -- inherited teams with established or rising quarterbacks. Bowles inherited Geno Smith. His decision to hire Chan Gailey as offensive coordinator was not a sexy one, but it cleared the way for the Jets to upgrade the position by acquiring Ryan Fitzpatrick. Bowles' vision for the secondary (he coached the position in the past) led the Jets to upgrade in that area as well, turning a weakness into a strength. That's one of the reasons the Jets have made the NFL's largest year-over-year improvement in defensive expected points added (EPA) per game. >
