A Change In The QB is the Easiest Decision For Mangini

The toughest pill to swallow is that the organization brings in a guy who is young and hasn't had much experience in the league. A guy who comes from one of the best defensive minds in the game. And yet the Jets Defense is at rock bottom. They cant help themselves by getting off the field. They cant stop the run, they cant stop the pass, they cant even get one freaking guy in the back field to slow the runner down or to create any type of pressure on the QB. And this looks like the same defense over and over again. The only improvement was last year the second half of the season. But this defense looks like they are far from that. They look worst than ever. How many leads did they give up this season already? How many times did they force a team 3 and out in the second half? There seems to be no life in this defense. But yet Mangini wants to keep using the 3-4.

I think Clements needs to start next week, and I'm not saying that its Chad's fault that we're losing. But what reason do the Jets need to keep him out they? We are not making the Playoffs. There is no hope in that, this Conference is filled with too many good teams. Clements should start because this is a good time to see if he is the Jets QB of the future. Its a good chance for him to get some game time experience with good Defenses. Practice is one thing. But they need to test him in real game time. If he plays good, we know what we have and what to work with. If he sucks then we know to keep looking. The biggest challenge for Mangini is to put a Defense out on the field.
