Sanchez / Tebow / McElroy

Let's face it. The Jets are doomed this year. Tebow stinks and they have $50mm invested in Sanchez. With no offensive line (and yes - they are indeed offensive to watch), at some point he's going to the hospital. Sanchez has a bullseye on his jersey. He has no wide receivers, no tight end, no running back, and no one in the backfield to block once his OL gets beat, which is almost on every play. Let's bench the $50mm investment until management figures out how to get him a decent supporting cast, turn Tebow into an enforcer and see what they have in McElroy. Two things will then happen. Either McElroy can be this year's Tebow as he did in Denver last year, in resurecting the Jets from the ashes and bring them back to respectability, or they will continue to stink and earn a top draft choice. Now, unless the Jets also do something with their "brain trust" who evaluates available talent, as many of their past draft pick opportunities went "bust", so will this one. So it's not just the team they're fielding, it's the back office people who also aren't doing their jobs in putting "impact" players on the field. The defense, who their aneimc offense hoped would put 10 - 14 points on the board for them every game also stinks. Even when they were at full strength this year they weren't close to being as good as they were the two years the Jets went into the post season. Now that they're depleated and working with second and third string personnel, and more so - constantly on the field, by the middle of the third quarter, they are spent. So........without hockey (and who cares about hockey), and the Giants also questionable so far this year, let's hope the Yankees go deep into the playoffs to the World Series, and tune into college softball and volleyball.

That is incorrect. They've been one of the best pass blocking teams this year.

I am not sure I agree with this.

They have been not giving up as many sacks because they are leaving more back to help protect, which allows fewer receiving options.

This is not accounted for in stats.
