Integrity28
Anyone catch this over the weekend? We all know what Buddy Ryan was, but watching it I got chills watching how Buddy's archaic mindset and disruptive bias for the defense undermined and deconstructed that whole team over time. I cringed at the idea that Buddy's beliefs about the usefulness of offense has influenced Rex... it's no wonder that while other teams are able to rack up yardage and points with guys like Matt Cassell, Ryan Fitzpatrick, Matt Flynn... we can't get out of our own damn way on offense for 5 years running. My other take-away from watching this was that I felt kind of terrible for Warren Moon. The guy was great, and watching him throw the ball was a thing of beauty. What a sh*t show that team was. Matt39
Dont think Rex is as stubborn/crazy as Buddy...but the unnecessary divide it creates between offense and defense is real. It boils over into practice where the defense views the offense as the enemy.
