Schadenfreude Files: Fantasy Football Edition

Noticed these semi-Jets related players notes in Yahoo! Fantasy this weekend. Enjoy...

Zac Stacy didn't register a single touch in the Rams' Week 7 win over the Seahawks.

Advice: Benny Cunningham got the start for the Rams, with Stacy playing just one snap all afternoon. But it was Tre Mason who took control of the backfield by out-touching Cunningham 18-7. Stacy isn't injured, as he was seen on the sideline just waiting to see if he'd play. He simply hasn't been effective all season, and the Rams are making a switch. Stacy can now safely be dropped in 12- and 14-team leagues as the Rams' No. 3 running back. He's a slow mover who doesn't do anything in the pass game. He's Matt Asiata and Shonn Greene's child.

Shonn Greene managed one yard on one carry in the Titans' Week 8 loss to the Texans.

Advice: Greene got the start, handled the first touch, and spent the majority of the rest of the game on the bench. He's terrible, and the Titans know it. Greene should be nowhere near fantasy rosters.

Rams OC Brian Schottenheimer said all of his running backs will "have roles for us," and he'll continue to treat it as a week-to-week situation.

Advice: "I think thats kind of good for us," Schottenheimer said. "For a defense not to know who theyve got to prepare for. To know that at any moment it might be a different guy out there." Schottenheimer isn't fooling anyone. Anybody with working eyeballs can see Tre Mason is the Rams' most talented runner. If the Rams want to put the ball in Zac Stacy or Benny Cunningham's hands, they're playing to the defense's advantage. We're not -- and more importantly, defensive coordinators aren't -- buying Schottenheimer's mind trick. Mason's the guy.

They must not know Schotty very well because after the game...

Tre Mason rushed for 32 yards on seven carries in the Rams' 34-7, Week 8 blowout loss to the Chiefs, adding a one-yard catch.

Advice: Benny Cunningham got the start. Mason was second into the game, and Zac Stacy was third in line. Mason and Stacy each received eight touches, with Cunningham netting five total looks. This is picture-perfect definition of a running back by committee, and one we're going to avoid until further notice. None of the three backs could get into a rhythm as they rotated series. OC Brian Schottenheimer has proven to be as inept a play-caller as there is in the league. The Rams travel to San Francisco in Week 9.

Schotty's mantra "If it ain't broke, break it!"
