Jetfan13
The Cincinnati Bengals appear to have sustained their first major injury of the preseason as cornerback and first-round draft pick William Jackson has suffered a torn pectoral muscle, per reports from ProFootballTalk.com and Mike Garafolo of NFL Media. Jackson was selected by the Bengals with the 24th overall pick in the 2015 draft out of the University of Houston. He entered into training camp behind Adam Jones, Dre Kirkpatrick, and Darqueze Dennard at cornerback and was expected to at least be a contributor on special teams. A torn pec can have a healing timetable of 5-6 months if surgery is required. Click here for more info on the injury. The injury could accelerate pursuit of Leon Hall, the long-time Bengals cornerback who remains an unsigned free agent. The Bengals have shown interest in bringing Hall back this season. jdeacon
There second string TE also hurt his knee yesterday, do not know how serious it is though. Feel bad for Jackson though, I cannot imagine how hard it would be to work for so long and so hard to lose your first season as a pro athlete in the first week of practice.
