It is not a bad idea. There are no great options in FA or draft this year. You kep Clady as hold the fort, draft a young OL to back him up and develop, then next year Clady walks and maybe young OL takes over. Hopefully this is also what happens with Brandon Shell where he takes over RT this year after a year of development. Hey, the optimistic view is that Clady has a pretty solic year, and the young OL develops, then Clady signs somewhere else next year and we get a compensatory pick...
