#90 Posted July 18, 2006 Share Posted July 18, 2006 Neil Smith out as Islanders GM TORONTO -- Barely a month after taking the job, Neil Smith apparently is no longer the general manager of the New York Islanders. The Sports Network of Canada is reporting Tuesday that Smith is out as the team's GM. It is unclear whether Smith quit or was fired, the report said. The Islanders named Smith their GM on June 8, the same day they hired coach Ted Nolan. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- You know that Milbury didn't like having no say in things. His finger prints are all over this! I met Neil in a NYC bar recently and he said that Milbury was an idiot. So, you know Milbury had to do something here.
