toon88 Posted February 27, 2007 Share Posted February 27, 2007 the Devils sent David Hale and a 5th RD draft pick to Calgary for a 3rd RD pick. I liked Hale's fit with the Devils. I'm a little surprised to see Lamoriello give up on him so quickly. I know Lou has been trying to find a way to make cap space available to activate Matvichuck, but don't think at the expense of Hale is a good move. Giving up Hale and a 5th rd pick for a 3rd rd pick is a STEAL for Calgary. I hardly ever question trades Lou makes since his track record is outstanding, but this one perplexes me alot.
