Joisey there's more.... First round has been reduced from fifteen minutes to ten Second round has been reduced from ten minutes to seven. A possible 8.9 hours of programming For Sunday: Day 2 begins at 10:00 AM (est) Rounds 3-7 will continue to have a five-minute selection time limit A possible 13.3 hours of programming And next year they go really nuts: Friday night at 7:00 PM (est) for round 1 in PRIME TIME A possible 5.33 hours of programming Saturday 3:00 PM (est) for rounds 2-4 A possible 9.1 hours of programming Sunday 12:00 PM(est) for rounds 5-7 A possible 8 hours of programming What a difference a year makes... Baummer I know you got the inside scoop on this & there`s no way to win an argument on this ,but didn`t this thing start at 12pm on Sat. in the past & go till 6 or 7pm ,so thats only 6 hours on day one (SAT.) So how are the cutting out a whole round on day 1 and shortining the first 2 rounds time & yet your saying it will be 8.9 hours of programing which is another 2-3 hours longer? Lurker
depends whether teams take the whole slot for each pick 1st round = 31 x 10 = 310 minutes or 5 hours and 10 minutes 2nd round = 32 X 7 = 224 minutes or 3 hours and 44 minutes. 8 hours and 54 minutes max but some teams don't take their whole slot so it's shorter

Joisey, Round 1 was 15 minutes per pick - and though it started at 12 noon, it took until almost 7 pm last year for round 1 to end - they were on the air until almost 1AM last year. Just do the math: probable 8 Hours for round 1 (@15 minutes per pick) probable 5.33 Hours for Round 2 (@ 10 minutes per pick) probable 3.73 Hours for Round 3 (@ 7 minutes per pick) Equals a probable 17.06 hours of programming - Luckally, it only ran 13. Next year: Saturday: probable 3.73 hours for round 2 (@ 7 minutes per pick) probable 5.33 hours for rounds 3-4 (@5 minutes per pick) Equals a probable 9.1 hours. Now please understand, it does not mean that they will be broadcasting until midnight for rounds 2-4. it may even end on Saturday by 8:00 PM. It's all based on the time it takes for each pick...
