Lil Bit Special
http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/baseball/mets/2008/06/21/2008-06-21_exreds_general_manager_wayne_krivsky_joi.html The Mets Saturday officially hired former Cincinnati GM Wayne Krivsky as a special assistant to GM Omar Minaya. That will immediately lead to speculation that Krivsky, who was fired by the Reds in April despite a solid resume, could be a logical candidate to replace Minaya if he's ultimately pushed out. But Krivsky is a longtime friend of Minaya and fellow special assistant Sandy Johnson from their days with the Rangers. Krivsky will be responsible for professional scouting. Krivsky, 53, has worked in the front offices of several teams, including the Twins, where he was the assistant GM for eight years. Before that, he was an assistant GM with the Rangers from 1980 to 1994. Krivsky was GM of the Reds from 2006 through early this season.
