PantyHose&Furs
Anyone out there watch any of the Americas Game series produced by NFL Films and IBM? Absolutely incredible documentaries of the Super Bowl champion teams. It seems like the overwhelming majority of the teams that went on to win the Supe (including the Jets in '69) overcame much more adversity than the 2008 Jets team is facing right now to win it all. This stuff happends. You lose games. The object is to get better and better as the season goes along, find some chemistry, get in the post-season and make it happen. Farve constantly talks about chemistry and doing it as a team. Anyone who watched the game yesterday saw that we looked much more stout against the run than at any time in recent memory. Our DB's played well. We got pressure. Our OLine opened holes. However we had way too many negative plays and significantly lost the special teams phase (rediculous). I saw a team that played hard, didn't play too smart (tough game for the coaching staff) but also a team with players that have the potential to get much better as this thing rolls along. I was pissed yesterday too...but feel like this is gonna be a very interesting, and good year.
