JetNation
Jets vs Giants week 1? The NFL will be releasing the 2011 schedule within the next 2 weeks and there is a growing sentiment that the Jets will be opening up the season at home against the New York Giants. The game, which will be played on September 11th, will allow the NFL to pay tribute to and honor New York on the 10th anniversary of the terrorist attacks. Prospects visiting the Jets- With the draft just around the corner the New York Jets have been very busy bringing in prospects for evaluations. The list of players includes LB Ryan Kerrigan, LB Justin Houston, LB Martez Wilson, LB Akeem Ayers, DT Muhammad Wilkerson, and CB Jimmy Smith. At this point the Jets are expected to select the best available defensive player with their first round pick. Note: Gang Green has 6 picks in this year’s draft: #30, #94, #126, #161, #184, #208 Randy Moss coming to NY? Over the past week there were several reports about the Jets interest, or lack thereof, in Randy Moss. At this point nothing would surprise me with the New York Jets, but I will tell you this: The Jets should not break the bank for Santonio Holmes. Draft Party at the NMS- The New York Jets will be holding their annual draft party at the New Meadowlands Stadium on Thursday night, April 28th. The festivities begin at 7:30.
