What happened to the screen play?

One of the strongest parts of our game is the fact that Kevin Mawae and Pete Kendall are two of the quickest interior o-liners off the ball. The are great at pulling for tosses and runs to the outside. Why would we not want to run or even attempt to run 1 screen pass the whole game. If you do this with blaylock you could use his speed and above average catching ability as a rb and take advantage of the size difference (o-line vs. lb's or cb's).
