  1. You're forgetting about Dee Milliner!
  2. Wouldn't be surprised if it gets to the point where Arod just decides to really put the hammer down on the Packers' front office and retires, and then un-retires and signs with the Jets.
  3. Thanks brother. Let's Goooo!
  4. Good question. Agree with @sciond. As an ex-athlete and coach, I value team cohesion and sustainability more than anything else. Of course I wanted those teams to win those championship games, but when we lost I really wasn't that surprised. Now we have what appears to be a long term growth taking place. Quinnen constantly talks about this and how his elevated play is only possible because of all the other players and coaches pulling together and communicating and executing. When we drafted all those skill players this last time, I was also hoping for them being unselfish players as well. That's what I'm seeing and that's more exciting to me than anything else.
  5. Thank you very much! Let's GOOOO!
  6. Agreed - especially on the jersey!
  7. Thanks for your question. Yes I remember that 1969 was the first year the term Super bowl was used. That was part of the dramatic effect of both the Jets winning and Namath's guarantee. What I really remember most was that in those days the quarterbacks actually called the plays, and Namath was convinced that by running the ball the Jets would win. For a gunslinger qb to make that decision was also part of the drama of our Jets winning the first named Super Bowl.
  8. Of course I’ve seen a lot of demoralizing Jets history, but as far as I’m concerned it’s all been worth it to see what I’m seeing with my team now. Since the Super Bowl, the most excited I’ve been was right after this last draft. We’ve never had a draft like that and we’re seeing the fruits of it now because of the combination of the coaching/support staff and the team first approach of the players. During draft analysis I heard LaDainian Tomlinson say that not only is Breece Hall the best back in the draft, but that he could be better than Tomlinson himself. I can see it. Breece is a picture perfect running back. But the O line, man…We lose our two tackles and the coaches and players compensate. Of course AVT is off the charts, but for me the key is Duane Brown. Needs rotator cuff surgery, has a guaranteed contract, could have packed it in, but there he is strapped up, pancaking mfers, leading the way on Braxton’s jet sweep. So impressive. An example for the youngbloods. The D line is the best we’ve had in a long time. They keep getting better. And beautiful monster Michael Clemens isn’t even starting yet. Blocked a punt with his elbow. We had a below average secondary last year and we’re becoming elite there. Linebacking corps looks great. Quincy carted off and two weeks later he’s making stonewall tackles. Can't fake this stuff and can’t make it up. Receiving corps and Zach haven’t even gotten started yet. Haven’t had to since the 4th qtr. of the Steelers win. But when they do they will win games by themselves. Book it. I don’t post that much here but I wanted to tonight because I’m so proud to be a Jets fan right now. I really appreciate this forum and all the people on it, especially those who post funny stuff. Enjoy the moment Jets brothers and sisters. In Jets history this kind of moment has been a rare thing.
  9. YES! But without the side by side stereo! We had a separate console just like your pic that was the stereo on the other side of the room!
  10. All this history considered, for me this is the highlight since the Super Bowl. To get potentially the best corner, receiver and edge rusher in the first round, and the way JD and the staff did it, is so magnificently impressive. We finally have pros in charge. I've been doing the Fanspeak draft for months and nothing came close to making this possible. Assuming Edge at #4 and WR at #10, it's literally like we got Sauce thrown into to the deal as extra. Unbelievable! I am going to just enjoy this as long as I can. And guess whose fault it is that I am and will always be a Jets fan?
  11. Johnson at 4 and Wilson at 10. If Wilson is gone then Olave. Jameson Williams is a fool's bet. It's never a guarantee that a player, especially an elite player, will ever fully recover from ACL. No to Thibs at 4. Simply can't risk it.
